My goal for this website is to provide you a window on who I am, what I believe and the experiences I've had that I think make me the best candidate for Congress in this race. As a life-long progressive, I believe that when we make life better for everyone then we make life better for ourselves.
I'm running because I believe America can do better. What happened to the optimistic America, the one that landed men on the moon and cared about its citizens? Where is that America that accepted that we had an obligation to fight for human rights around the world - a policy which built goodwill and cooperation all across the globe?
In the issues section of this website I address some of the concerns that have driven me to run for congress. The war in Iraq must end, we need to finally fix health care and we cannot, as a nation, allow our precious waters to die from neglect. The slogans are easy, but action on these and other problems will require imagination and an ability to think beyond the solutions that are available in our region and even in our country.
